For the first time ever, runners and walkers will have the opportunity to cross the historic Mt. Hope Bridge by foot at the brand-new Mt. Hope Bridge 5k.

What Do I Get?

All event participants will receive a race bib and timing chip, event shirt and free parking and shuttle transportation to the race start.

Military Discount

The Mt. Hope Bridge Run extends its thanks to those serving our country. We invite active, reserve members and veterans of all military branches to email us to receive a discounted registration.

The Mt. Hope Bridge Run is limited to the first 850 registrants.

Bib & Shirt Pick-up:

Registered participants will receive a race bib number and event shirt at bib pick-up which will be held on race morning, August 12 at Roger Williams University. ALL PARTICIPANTS must pick up their race bibs and take the shuttles from Bristol on race day. There will be no bib pick-up in Portsmouth.

Race Day – Roger Williams University, Bristol, R.I. 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Pick-Up Location: Parking lot off of Old Ferry Road, Bristol

Participants may pick-up bibs and shirts for friends and family, but must provide a copy of the ID or a photo of the ID on their phone for verification.

Race Policies:

Refund Policy – 45 Days

Registered runners may request a full-refund of their paid fee up to 45 days prior to the event. No refunds will be granted in the final 45 days before the event. Please contact us about refunds at

Registration Transfers – One Week

A request must be sent no later than one week prior to the event by the runner who purchased the registration with the name, adress, email, gender and date of birth of the runner taking their place to

Deferrals – One Week

All race deferral requests must be made one week prior to the race. Deferral requests will be granted upon registration opening for that same race for the following year. When registration opens a coupon code will be issued charging a $15 deferral fee and runners are required to re-register on their own within a week of receiving the code. Extreme Weather

There is always the potential for extreme or severe weather conditions. Race organizers will do as much as we can to ensure the experience is as safe as possible. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a short delay, if conditions persist, or the forecast calls for extreme weather, race officials reserve the right to alter or cancel the race. Entry fees are non-refundable. Please check the website, our Facebook page and your email before the race for any changes or cancellations. All entry fees are non-refundable, and there will be no-rain date.
